A Brief History
How I started my Business Journey
A lot of us dream of starting our own businesses, being responsible for your own success and having flexibility to work when you want to. This was my dream since I was a teenager. I would constantly look for a new venture from setting up my own gaming Youtube channel (and actually making money from it) to designing my own caps and selling them, I knew I wouldn’t settle until I worked full time for myself.
Lacking in real life business experiences, I proceeded down the path of going to college, completing a diploma in graphic design while working retail. I went on to secure my first corporate job where I was working in marketing and the business involved selling drones.
Here I bought my own drone, before anyone really knew what a drone was. I began practising flying and eventually secured my professional drone licence.
From this job I moved to a sales focused job. Here I realised I had a knack for speaking to clients and I truly learned how to sell products and services. Tired of the long commutes, and the tough selling days, gaining only margins, my mind started wandering back to my first goal and passion in life, working for myself.
Time for Change
How I applied my learnings to start my own business
With the corporate, business and sales knowledge I had now acquired, along with my natural business sense, I decided to set up my own drone photography and video business.
I was convinced it would be a success, there weren’t many other companies doing this, and I felt I had really identified a niche in the market.
I took the leap and went back working part time in my old retail job while working to get my business off the ground (pun intended 😉) It involved a lot of late nights and personal sacrifices but I succeeded and in a couple of months I secured my first client. After that, I kept winning business and after 6 months, I was in a good position to quit my job and pursue my business full time.
5 years later, my business has been a huge success and it’s still growing!

How I continue to learn and grow as an entrepreneur
Always on the hunt for a new challenge I’ve decided to create and launch my digital marketing company - The Fox is Digital where I provide a wide range of services from website design to full management of my clients social media presence, I have the tools required to put companies in the best position to sell their products and services.
Combined with my business knowledge, graphic design & digital marketing skills, I am happy to share my knowledge as a Business Coach. I will advise and support entrepreneurs who want to set up their own business from scratch or to take their business to the next level.
